It is with much sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our Mom, Gramma, Nonny, Gramma Oma, Great Gramma and faithful friend to many, on Thursday, January 1, 2026, with her daughters and granddaughter by her side.
Mom is survived by her daughters Gaylene (Brent), Angela (Vic) and Terry (Frank); grandchildren Kiana, Cody, Vince, Mitchel, Senate and Hilton; great-grandchildren Jace, Madeleine and Hannah. As well as countless friends and neighbours from Thurlby Road, Hedges Bay and Blueberry Bay.
Mom was predeceased by her life partner Stuart and grandson’s Cooper Nemeth and Boston Patton.
She will be lovingly remembered by all who were fortunate enough to have known her.
Mom was one of 12 children born in Winnipeg Beach, MB to John and Catherine Zeleniski. She spent her growing up years between Winnipeg Beach and Camp Morton with her cherished grandmother Elizabeth, Auntie Helen (Franz) and Uncle Adam (Haas). She always spoke fondly of those years.
Mom’s dedication, support and love to her daughters and grandchildren was always unparalleled and steadfast.
The legacy she left us, was her example of what a mother ought to be. And even more so, what an outstanding and unmatched grandmother we could only strive to be. Just plain exceptional!
We will miss you Mom/Gramma XOXO
A special thank you to all the fantastic people at IBEC and expressly the Blueberry Bay team. Mom truly enjoyed her time there. You all made the last bit of her journey SO much better.
Arrangements by Cropo Funeral Chapel.
A ‘Come & Go” Celebration of Mom’s Life, will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Gateway Rec Centre, 1717 Gateway Road, in the banquet hall above the main facility.

What an absolute beautiful woman inside and out. So many wonderful memories and hours spent on our couch just talking and her enjoying all the chaos of our home with many children. She also was a wonderful friend to my mom Joy and they enjoyed one another, great chats. I can see mom and Janet sitting in Heaven over a cup of coffee and cake. We are better people for knowing and having Janet in our lives. Love you Janet until we meet again. Please give Cooper, Boston, and Stephanie some love for us. Rest our beautiful friend...
